The Agon Piano Trio was formed in 2004 having met during their studies at The Moscow Conservatoire and The Royal Academy of Music, London. They perform extensively in the UK and abroad - at present they are undertaking a concert series of the complete Beethoven trios in Aylesbury and concerts are planned in the Far East for the near future.

The trio has studied with many eminent musicians including the Moscow Piano Trio, the Endellion Quartet, Dimitri Alexeev and Tatiana Sarkissova, Malcolm Martineau and Michael Dussek of the Royal Academy of Music.

The trio was invited by the Britten-Pears Young Artists Programme, Aldeburgh, to a week of public masterclasses with the Florestan Trio and returned in 2007 for a residency. Recently they were invited to give a recital at the Aldeburgh Festival as Britten-Pears alumni.

As recipients of the Gordon Clark memorial award and winners of a generous Ensembles Award from the Musicians Benevolent Fund, the trio was invited by IMS Prussia Cove, Cornwall to take part in Masterclasses and concerts with Ferenc Rados.

Works have been commissioned from Park Lane Group composer Ben Foskett whose and this you is what I would sing was premiered at the 2007 Aldeburgh Festival. International concert engagements have taken the trio to such venues as the Aix-en-Provence Festival and the Atelier de la Main d'Or, Paris. They are also regular performers at music clubs and societies throughout the UK with recitals at the Saffron Walden and District Music Club, Milngavie Music Club, Glasgow and Theydon Bois Music Society amongst others. Several London dates are in association with the Concordia Foundation.

The Trio would like to thank the Dawood family for their kind support.
